The Multiple Desktops feature in Windows 10 helps facilitate multi-tasking and provides an easy way to quickly switch back and forth between desktop screens.

A simple use for this feature might be to create one desktop for your email and calendar applications and then additional desktops for each of your ongoing tasks or projects. The maximum number of desktops you can create is determined by your system configuration.

To create multiple desktops, follow these steps:

1. On the taskbar, click on the Task View button as shown in the image below.

If the Task View button is not visible on your taskbar, right-mouse click on the task bar, and click on Show Task View button as shown in the image below.

2. At the top left of your screen click the + New Desktop button, as shown in the image below.

3. Each of the desktops you create will be shown at the top of the screen while in Task View, as shown in the image below.

4. You can choose a desktop and then open multiple applications inside each one. Hovering over a desktop with your mouse will display which applications are currently open on that desktop.

5. To quickly bring up the Task View, you can press Windows+Tab keys on your keyboard.

6. You can also bypass the Task View and switch quickly between your desktops by pressing the Windows+Ctrl+Left or Right arrow keys.
